Flowers wilt and the cake is soon eaten, but photos and films remain. That makes it all the more important to choose the people behind the camera with care. These points will help you decide.
Style before price
Ask to see not only the most beautiful individual shots, but the complete coverage of a wedding. That way you can see how someone handles backlighting, interiors and evening light, and whether their visual style suits you across an entire day.
Photo, film or both?
Photos capture moments, while a film preserves voices, speeches, music and movement. If you book both, make sure the teams coordinate with each other. Ideally, they have worked together for some time and won’t get in each other’s shots during the ceremony.
Local knowledge pays off
Anyone who knows a venue knows where the most beautiful light falls at what time of day, and which spot works when it rains. At Schloss Loosdorf, these include the castle courtyard, the French garden, the historic steps and the estate’s own fields around the castle.
Questions for the first meeting
- How many hours are included in the package?
- When will we receive the photos and film, and in what format?
- How is the data backed up?
- Is there a replacement if someone falls ill?
On our partners page, we introduce photographers who already know Schloss Loosdorf, such as Tim Cavadini and Benedikt Loebell.
